The Environment and Ecology as Revealed in the Vedas

Abstract

The Environmental problem is an important topic in recent times. We all face the problem of Global Warming and the Green House effect. The environmental science and ecology are two disciplines. Ecology is an important environmental aspect which refers the close relation between plants and living beings. The Vedas are the treasure of ancient knowledge. The Vedic hymns are based on the environmental and natural component. The main Vedic views revolve around the concept of Nature. In this paper, an attempt has been made to highlight the Vedic views on environmental and ecological awareness.
